PRESCRIPTION REQUESTS


WHEN ORDERING YOUR REGULAR REPEAT MEDICATION PLEASE PICK UP THE NEXT WORKING DAY AFTER 3PM IN YOUR CHOSEN PHARMACY.  PLEASE DO NOT ORDER YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS EARLY - THEY WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND DUE TO CURRENT PRESSURE WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CONTACT YOU IN RELATION TO THIS. 




Carers Health Check 


If you are a 'carer' (i.e. you have an unpaid role looking after someone in the community) for someone we can offer you a health check. 


This will involve an enquiry about any health problems / complaints and a review of any current medication which you may be on.  We can also provide information for organisations which may be able to help you in your role as a carer.


Please telephone our reception and ask for an appointment with our Practice Nurse for 'A Carers Health Check'




BOWEL SCREENING


A new video has been released giving information on the Bowel Screening Testing which is currently underway for eligible patients in Northern Ireland.

Meningitis Vaccination 


The practice are offering patients an additional vaccination to protect them against meningitis which will cover the ACW+Y strains of the illness. 


You are eligible if you are a patient:


* Aged 18 (born between 2/7/1996 - 1/7/1996)


* If you are born between 2/7/1997 - 1/7/1999


* If you are aged up to 25 going to University for the first time


* If you are 16 or 17 going to Agricultural College for the 1st time


Please telephone reception if you fall into one of the categories and wish to avail of this vaccine.

consultation.jpgThe Government has given the Health Service Quality Standards which are the rights of all patients.  While we agree that these standards are important we do not feel they are achievable without the help of our patients.  We would ask you to read this section bearing in mind that we will keep to the standards set if you will give us the opportunity to do so.

Our responsibility to you

  • You will be greeted courteously
  • You have the right to confidentiality
  • You will be seen on the same day if your medical problem is urgent
  • You will be referred to a Hospital Consultant if your doctor thinks it necessary
  • Your repeat prescription will be ready for collection within 24 hour of your request (during the working week)

Your responsibility to us

  • Treat doctors and Staff with courtesy
  • We will not tolerate violent or abusive behaviour to any member of staff and such behaviour will result in you being removed from the practice list immediately
  • Be punctual for appointments and remember an appointment is for one person only
  • Cancel your appointment if you are unable to attend
  • Be patient if the doctor is running late
  • Be patient on the telephone trying to contact a receptionist
  • Do not request an out of hours visit unless it is an emergency, which cannot wait until the morning
  • Do not request a home visit if you are able to come to the surgery.
