It is with great sadness that we share that our dear colleague and friend, Dr Catherine Mullan passed away peacefully at the Macmillan Unit, Antrim Area Hospital on 3rd June 2026.  Catherine was a GP trainee in the practice before taking up position as a salaried GP in 2021.

Catherine was a much loved and highly respected GP who will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by patients and colleagues. We know that many of you will be saddened by this news as we are within the practice.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Catherine’s husband Adam, her children Grace and Lily and her wider family circle.

As a mark of respect and to allow the practice team to attend her service of thanksgiving the practice will be closed on Monday 8th June from midday. Emergency cover will be available only for serious medical conditions that cannot wait until the practice reopens on Tuesday 9th June. We appreciate your patience and understanding at this difficult time.

A book of condolence will be available to sign in the practice waiting area to allow patients to express their sympathies and pass on messages of support to Dr Mullan’s family.
